Each season, we get super excited to discover what designers have in store for the year ahead, and this year’s NYFW didn’t disappoint. The runway collections featured in New York span an incredible range of styles, from cool and edgy to glamorous and elegant. But it is not only about clothes, and designers have understood that. As beautiful as their creations can be, they wouldn’t have the same visual impact on the crowd if they weren’t complemented by spot-on hairstyles. And of course, as hair lovers, we couldn’t help but scan the models’ hair before we actually took a look at the clothes! Yet again, a few hair trends clearly emerged from the catwalk. Amongst them, the timeless ponytail – in 2017, wear it low for an ultra feminine and elegant look. Chignons were also everywhere on the runway last week. We particularly liked Guido Palau‘s romantic low chignons, spotted at the Baja East show and the really funky knot buns imagined by Garren for the Anna Sui show. Last but not least, gelled looks – a spin-off of the wet hair trend. They were featured on many NY runways this year and we loved the super sleek gelled hairdos created by Guido for the Baja East show. All eyes on Paris Fashion Week AW 2017!
