Our dear friends at Great Lengths will present their fifth year of their Great Lengths UK Awards this September and we’re delighted to be involved. The awards which have just announced their finalists aim to showcase the passion and creativity of UK certified extension stylist. With 11 categories up for grabs –  six creative and five business – it’s the crème de la crème of extension awards.
Great Lengths

Longer Length finalist: Vicky Demetriou at Larry King

TRIBU-TE’s UK publisher, Nicky Pope was invited to the judging day alongside other influential industry names. Speaking on the standard and quality of entries received this year, she comments: “It is very clear how stylists are becoming braver about experimenting and refining the craft of hair extensions particularly with hair styles that look more natural than perhaps they have done in previous years.”

When asked how was the decision was made when judging the Awards, Nicky says: “I’m drawing on 22 years in the hair dressing industry which serves me well when I’m looking for technique. I’m not a hairdresser myself but obviously all those years have added up to creating an eye. I keep in mind editorial vision for something that’s beautiful and something that I might want to publish online or in the magazine.”
The UK Great Lengths Awards ceremony will take place on 16 September at the Royal Armouries in Leeds; an evening of celebration not only for the finalists and crowned winners, but also the creativity and passion of its wider family of over 1,500 certified salons and stylists across the UK. We can’t wait to join them.
Each category winner will receive two tickets for a group tour of the Great Lengths production facility in Rome in 2019. Good luck to all UK finalists:
