Charlie Miller hair salon & Training Academy recently celebrated their 50th anniversary in style in Edinburgh. To mark the occasion, the team welcomed HRH The Princess Royal (Anne is the Queen’s only daughter) who unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark the company’s half century of service, education and business growth. During the reception, Princess Anne met the company’s longest serving clients and key members of the Charlie Miller family, and six of most talented trainees from the Charlie Miller apprenticeship training programme were selected to demonstrate their cutting and styling skills. Charlie Miller has also been working with charities such as the Hair 4 U project and the Teenage Cancer Trust for quite a few years now, and Princess Anne saluted as she was introduced to Charlie Miller’s first young cancer patient, as well as patients and representatives from the Western General and Hospital for Sick Kids.
By helping young people with cancer improve their quality of life and chances of survival, Charlie Miller stands as an example for future generations of hairdressers. No doubt there will be many more years of success for the company. Congratulations!
